Thank you for your quick response. First, I had never knew what was the name of the device I had, the Hi-A8. Only few days ago when I needed so much to find out something more advanced, .......
.......and after seeing that searching with the keyword "i-Pod" never lead me anywhere except Apple, ... I panic just a little.
So I looked again on the installation mini CD which came with the device, and there where 3 word documents about how to use. And in one of them there was a table where it said : product name: Hi-X8. But I really have is not this one, but a close related one. But for going into google search was just good enough to lead me through you. The device I have is non name, the batteries are no name, the charger is no name... that it was difficult to find out about.
Really many many people don't know you exists, and they'll continue to pay for bad Apple products. And finally, ... as my batteries problems are now solved, I am no longer having the fear of what's come out after they are completely wasted. I just replace the cells inside, without damaging the electronic charging minicircuit. Fortunately I have good eyes, and I can read and see details of fractions of one 0,1 mm with naked eyes and I did the exchange.
One more problem I had solved is this: normally, all products (i-Pod or not), which does have jacks inputs and outputs the contacts breaks very quickly. I saw this to another i-Pod to someone else, which after inserting and extracted the audio cable in and out of the jack, the jack lost one contact with one channel.
At that time, the jack where mounted on the very inside place of the device and I could not reach them to make a replacement. But knowing this, after I had received my unit from London, I had soldered with my letcon one father jack in the mother jack permanently and the father jack I had been soldered to an external mother jack which is doing so well, that it already resisted more then 1000 in and out cable connections. And when that one breaks down, the inside one is still OK, and I'll only replace the external one.
And believe me, no matter how beautiful design will have my new device, which I'll buy from you, I'll do the same operation, never to fear again of introducing audio or video cables within the jack sockets even of 10.000 times. The video jack is even more sensible, because it contains 3 contacts (2 for audio and one for the video), so I'll create a special design on a glasstextolit plate with all 3 father jacks which will permanently be entered into their 3 motherboard jacks (audio output, video in and video out), and on the other side of the textolit plate I'll place another kind of mother jacks which will resist to more then 10.000 times cable connections in and out, while the originals will never move their contacts again.
I'll attach some photos of how I made it to my actual Hi-A8 device, and it doesn't look bad at all. Well, that was just a little story to add to your experience. Maybe it will help you developing something... or adding something much better then I did. You know, in Romania we can't afford many things... so we are "creative" as we can.
I'll wait for the new product in one or two months you said you are preparing... possible will break all records and devices ever created by "great" Apple-like companies.
Best wishes
